DAY-BY-DAY ITINERARY
DAY 1 ARRIVE BOSTON – TOUR BEGINS
New England’s spectacular fall foliage is legendary.
Join fellow leaf-peepers and meet your Tour
Manager at tonight’s kick-off Welcome Meeting.
DAY 2 BOSTON – NASHUA
After breakfast, we’ll wend our way to New
Hampshire visiting a locally-owned farm stand
brimming with an autumn harvest of pumpkins and
mums. Learn how fresh apple cider is pressed while
sampling still-warm cider donuts. Next, travel over
the river and through the woods where a farm to
fork lunch-of-the-season awaits at Pickity Place.
Later, our guided tour of Labelle Winery provides
an overview of the vineyards and winemaking
process before venturing to the wine cellar for an
expert led tasting of a selection of their wines. BL
Canterbury Shaker Village
DAY 3 NASHUA – CANTERBURY –
BURLINGTON
This morning, travel to the peaceful hilltop of
Canterbury Shaker Village for a guided tour, led
by a Shaker historian. After lunch, in the town of
Henniker, visit Quilted Threads, a Quilt Sampler top
10 shop. Be dazzled by gorgeous quilts on display,
and hundreds of bolts of fabrics, books, notions and
more. Later, our panoramic scenic drive through
Vermont’s Green Mountains arrives in
Burlington for an evening at leisure to explore
the vibrant downtown. B L
DAY 6 OGUNQUIT – KENNEBUNKPORT
Explore quaint village streets lined with white
clapboard cottages and picket fences in the
charming town of Ogunquit, Maine. This after
noon, visit the seaside town of Kennebunkport to
enjoy views of the Atlantic Ocean and to savor a
fresh lobster roll. After a scenic drive past Walker
Point, we visit Nubble Lighthouse to learn its
storied history. Later, walk the Marginal Way
footpath to Perkins Cove where lobster boats
deliver the freshest catch to Barnacle Billy’s dockside restaurant, a favorite amongst locals. Tonight,
savor a delicious meal and celebrate your trip at
our customary farewell dinner. B D

DAY 4 BURLINGTON – STOWE – BURLINGTON
An unforgettable morning awaits us as at the
extraordinary Shelburne Museum. Affectionately
known as Vermont’s Smithsonian, the museum
boasts works from both Wyeth and Monet as well
as a collection of early American quilts prized for its
size. Later, explore more of downtown Burlington
and it’s many boutiques and shops. Tonight, travel to
the ski village of Stowe home to the Trapp Family
Lodge where we’ll savor an Austrian inspired
dinner in the main lodge. B D
DAY 5 BURLINGTON – WOODSTOCK –
OGUNQUIT
At Morse Farm Maple Sugarworks, learn about
the family’s eight generations of maple sugaring
before indulging in samples of Vermont maple
syrup, jams, jellies and more in the Sugarworks
store. Next, depart Woodstock to enjoy its
charming town center that includes a covered
bridge, old-fashioned hardware store and restored
Federal and Colonial style homes. Later, travel over
Quechee Gorge as we set our sights on Maine
and its fabled coast. B

DAY 7 OGUNQUIT – BOSTON – TOUR ENDS
Tour Boston’s narrow streets visiting the historic
Old North Church to witness the birthplace of
the American revolution. Walk the Freedom Trail
stopping at the home of Paul Revere before
arriving at Faneuil Hall Marketplace for lunch on
your own. Swap addresses with new friends before
saying goodbye at Boston’s Logan airport to begin
your journey home. B
