Embrace the spirit of “Aloha” on a tropical 8-day tour of the Hawaiian
islands from Honolulu’s glistening beaches to the lush forests of Hilo.
DAY-BY-DAY ITINERARY
DAY 1 ARRIVE HONOLULU - TOUR BEGINS
Upon arrival at the Island of Oahu, you are
greeted in the traditional Polynesian way—with
a warm Aloha and a lei of fresh flowers. After
settling into your Honolulu hotel, meet fellow
travel companions and your Tour Manager at this
evening’s Welcome Meeting.

DAY 2 HONOLULU
After breakfast, depart for Oahu’s famous North
Shore on a city tour offering beautiful panoramic
views of this Polynesian paradise. Visit the must-see
historic sites, including Chinatown, the Hawaii
State Capitol, and stunning views at various
lookouts along the way. Later, our guided tour
of the Iolani Palace reveals the famous statue of
Kamehameha the Great. Tonight, your evening
at leisure allows time to swim or laze on the beach
taking in the colors of a Hawaiian sunset. B
DAY 3 HONOLULU
This morning, indulge in the tropical flavor of Hawaii
at the island’s famous Dole Pineapple Plantation.
Learn how James Drummond Dole founded his
world-famous empire where Dole Plantation stands
today. Our guided tram-tour travels through the
stunning scenery of the island’s famous North Shore
while teaching us the story of pineapple in Hawaii.
Next, visit the Polynesian Cultural Center to
experience authentic island arts, crafts, history
and music. Savor a delicious island dinner, then
settle in for a spectacular Polynesian show that
includes over 100 performers. BD
DAY 4 HONOLULU - KONA
Enjoy a morning at leisure for independent
exploration of the sights and sounds of Honolulu.
Later, our mid-afternoon flight to Kona, on the big
Island of Hawaii, leaves ample time to indulge in
our beachside resort’s amenities. The remainder of
the day is yours to soak up the sun and enjoy the
Kona’s glittering coastline. B
DAY 5 KONA - WAIKOLOA
Immerse yourself in the culture of the Pacific
Rim on a guided tour of the Mauna Kea Art
Collection. Our guide brings to life this priceless
1,600-piece collection, including quilts, through
stories of the art, architecture, and ties to the
famous Rockefeller family. Next, search for the
perfect nut at the Hamakua Macadamia Nut
Company. Enjoy samples and shopping of these
100% local farmer-grown macadamia nuts. Later,
wrap yourself in Hawaiian style with beautiful
hand-quilted purses, bags, wall hangings, blankets
and much more at the Hawaiian Quilt Collection
shop tucked in the boutiques of Waikoloa Village.

DAY 6 KONA - HILO
Shop for luscious batik prints and vibrant
tropical-patterned quilting cottons at Quilt
Passions and Needlework Shop. After, visit the
Kona Hawaiian Quilt Museum and Gallery, and
learn about Hawaiian quilting while admiring the
exhibition of vintage and contemporary Hawaiian
and island-themed quilts. Next, visit a small vanilla
farm for an unexpected journey to taste, tour, and
treasure the farm’s hand-grown vanilla. Later, arrive
at our hotel in Hilo, our home for two nights. B

Inter-island airfare, group departure transfer to
Kona International Airport (KOA).

Hotel accommodations, including baggage handling
themed quilting cottons are paired alongside
quilting kits, notions, books and more, all waiting
to be discovered by you. Next door at Lava Rock
Café, their fusion variety of Hawaiian-style and
Pacific cuisine is a temping option for lunch on
your own. This afternoon, journey into Volcano
National Park to explore the Crater Rim Drive
steam vents and breathtaking scenic overlooks
of Halema’uma’u Crater. Later, arrive at our
waterside resort where there’s time to enjoy the
tropical waters before celebrating your journey at
