DAY-BY-DAY ITINERARY
DAY 1 ARRIVE PROVIDENCE – TOUR BEGINS
Explore Providence on your own, starting from our
hotel in the heart of historic “Downcity,” before meeting your Tour Manager and traveling companions at
tonight’s Welcome Meeting.
DAY 2 PROVIDENCE
Begin your New England escape with a panoramic
city tour of Providence that highlights this capital
city’s 19th-century mercantile buildings in the Federal
and Victorian architectural styles. Away from the
downtown core, explore the city’s southern waterfront that forms the hub of festivals and summer
social gatherings. Enjoy free time for lunch and
shopping on Federal Hill, Providence’s famous
Italian neighborhood of cafés, restaurants and
markets. After lunch, shop the rows of heavenly
quilting cottons at the favorite local quilt shop
before visiting the Museum of Work and Culture. B
The Breakers Mansion
DAY 3 PROVIDENCE – NEWPORT – CAPE COD
Departing Providence for Newport, we travel along
the Narraganset Bay relishing the magnificent
10-mile Ocean Drive past breathtaking coastal
scenery and opulent homes. At The Breakers
Mansion, Newport’s most magnificent Gilded Age
“summer cottage,” discover the lavish lifestyles of
America’s elite on a guided tour. Explore downtown Newport with free time for lunch and
shopping before departing for Cape Cod’s Red
Jacket Beach Resort, our oceanside home for
four nights. B
DAY 4 CAPE COD – HYANNIS – SANDWICH
In Hyannis, visit the John F. Kennedy Memorial
before traveling along historic Old King’s Highway
through quaint villages, past old sea captains’
homes. In Sandwich, the Cape’s oldest town,
witness beautifully preserved, centuries-old homes
alongside the Dexter Grist Mill still standing in
the village center. At the Heritage Museum and
Gardens, their nationally recognized collection
of rhododendrons blooms alongside world-class
American folk art, a working 1908 Looff carousel
and an impressive collection of American automobiles, including Gary Cooper’s 1930 Duesenberg.
Finish the afternoon at The Cape’s favorite quilt
boutique for shopping and needlework tips. B D

DAY 7 CAPE COD – PROVIDENCE – TOUR ENDS
This morning, visit Plymouth Rock, the historic
stone marking where the Mayflower anchored, and
Pilgrims went on to create Plymouth Colony. Bid
farewell to new friends at Providence’s T.F. Green
Airport where you will begin your journey home. B

After visiting the charming village of Chatham with
a stop at Chatham Light, we’ll drive along the Cape

waterfront galleries and boutiques before our
scenic and historical sand dunes tour. Tonight,
enjoy a Cocktail Reception before savoring a
traditional New England lobster dinner at our

DAY 5 CAPE COD – NANTUCKET
Travel by high-speed catamaran to enchanting
Nantucket Island, world whaling capital in the
1800s, to explore cobblestone streets, shingled
cottages and historic shipowners’ houses. Our
narrated scenic tour takes in beaches, lighthouses,
tidy villages and coastal scenery. There’s free time
to explore shops and galleries before boarding
our ferry back to the mainland for a relaxing free
evening to enjoy the Cape’s Ocean breezes. B
